The Power of Yes

There was darkness in which no one could live.
Then a whisper, oh such power did give!
It meant "yes" to express “there's a will, and there’s a way”;
And the Whole World had its start on that day.

Two strangers said just “hello” at first.

Then a gesture, and their New World came forth.

She said “yes” to his quest,

In his arms she has stayed;

And My World had its start on that day.

(Chorus)

For there’s grandeur and splendour

To the holder of the power of “yes”;

And so to say it, and mean it

Is the willing of true happiness.

Oh it’s a long time to be searching from birth.

One soft word can change sorrow to mirth.

So address your sweet “yes”

To my heart in this way;

And Our World will begin on this day.
