The Rose Green Centre

Home of Bristol West Indian Cricket Club

As of Saturday March 6th 1999, the new Rose Green Centre was opened as a members' club. This project was made possible  through a joint funding partnership between the National Lottery, Bristol City Council and RGSL (Rose Green Sports & Leisure Ltd)., set up by BWICC for this purpose. RGSL is chaired by Basil Hylton, a former club captain and chairman of BWICC. Membership of the Centre will consist of interested people who successfully apply for membership

(currently £6 + a one-off joining fee of £4).

There are indoor and outdoor cricket nets as well as the capacity to run other activities, e.g. dances, aerobics and fitness classes. The centre is wheelchair accessible on the ground floor, and an ideal place to hold workshops and small conferences, parties, weddings, christenings, dinners, etc. There are two bars, a function room that seats 200, TV, pool , etc.

The centre is the new home of the highly successful Bristol West Indian CC, but it will also offer facilities to the local community, developing  fully integrated training and employment programmes linked to sports and leisure .

The Rose Green Centre is sited on Gordon Road, Whitehall (BS5 7DL). If you wish to apply for membership or make a booking, please contact the Centre Manager, Tel 0117 9515569.
